You get what you pay for December 25, 2007 Amanda Mershon (Kyle, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 4-year-old loves animals and says she wants to be a vet so we bought her this set for Christmas. She loves the idea of having vet tools and has been playing with them all day but the pieces are pretty cheaply made. The stethoscope was kinked in the package so now it is permanently bent that way. The medicene dropper will not come out of the bottle so you have to unscrew the whole lid (which stays attached to the dropper) to pretend to use the eyedrops. The little clamps take 2 hands to open and close. The syringe however goes up and down no problem, making it hard to pretend to give a shot. The little eye/ear viewer just has a hole in the middle, no plastic lens or anything. One of the 10 items in the kit is a pencil--big whoop. All in all, I probably wouldn't have ordered this; I should have bought a nicer regular doctor set and let her play vet with that rather than this cheaply made set. The pieces would probably not hold up to a child who is hard on toys since it would be easy to crush or break them. It is not much money though and she is having fun playing with it so I gave it 3 stars.
