| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Music icon Tom Jones returns with his first album of new material to be released in the United States in over 15 years. "24 Hours" represents another milestone for Tom Jones; from interpreting a classic Bruce Springsteen track (The Hitter) to writing and working alongside the likes of Bono and The Edge (Sugar Daddy). Utilizing modern day producing maestros, Future Cut (Lily Allen), Tom Jones' "24 Hours" showcases the best of what has made him a legend. From the pulsing first single, If He Should Ever Leave You, to the soaring I'm Alive; from the reflective title track to the emotional depths of The Hitter, Tom Jones delivers one of the most powerful albums of his career. Having sold over 100 million albums throughout his career and still touring and performing over 200 days out of the year, Tom Jones brings his best to this latest recording and shows why he remains at the top of his craft after 40 years.

Keep Up With the Joneses December 30, 2008 Elliott (L.A.) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Born Thomas Jones Woodward on June 7, 1940, Tom Jones still has "it." While his voice is not as powerful as it was way back in the "Delilah" days, it's amazingly close. Either he's been taking good care of those golden cords, or there's a really weird portrait in the attic. This is a strong album, brilliantly produced, a mix of covers and songs co-written by Jones himself. The selection ranges from the philosophical to the exhilarating. There are great renditions of Tommy James' "I'm Alive," Bruce Springsteen's "The Hitter," and U2's "Sugar Daddy." With New Year's Eve coming up, I recommend popping this into the CD player at the party. The old folks will instantly recognize the singer and the young might discover him, to their advantage. You could play little games like "Guess How Old He Is," and "Name a Tom Jones Song." Or you could just play Green Day all night.
Fine Album December 15, 2008 fro493 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I'm not sure why some reviewers feel it's just a run-of-the-mill pop album, I don't hear it that way at all. It's infused with retro/ classic Tom Jones, sure with modern elements but that's a good thing. It's clear he put a lot of time into making this album, every song has its own feel, they all are good and fresh, his voice is still in top form, and the album sounds better after each listen... it's TJ moving forward as an artist.

I love this guy's voice. This is an upbeat album that has a definite 60's flare to it. Good to work out to!

I am very disappointed in this latest Tom Jones album. It is definatley NOT his kind of music. I have been a fan since his beginnings and have seen him in person several times. I will probably never spend my money on anymore of his caterwauling.
