Album Description Kristin Chenoweth is a Hollywood star in the holiday sky to show you a 'Lovely Way to Spend Christmas' with her 2008 Christmas album. Kristin Chenoweth effortlessly transitions between stage, television and film with the captivating grace that only she can project. In 2008 she is starring as Olive Snook in the highly anticipated return of the ABC series Pushing Daisies. She is also known to her television fans as Annabeth Schott on The West Wing. As one of most in-demand Broadway actresses, she originated the role of Glinda in the Tony Awardr- winning musical Wicked, and won the Tony Awardr for Best Actress in a musical for her performance in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown.

Christmas review January 10, 2009 J. Johnson (Indy) I loved Kristin Chenoweth on Pushing Daisies and I have heard her sing so I wanted an album of hers. When I saw she had a Christmas CD I had to get it. She has a beautiful voice, and makes it a very special season with her choice of Christmas songs. I would hightly recommend this CD, and play it all year whenever you need a lift.
It's just OK January 7, 2009 M. Newman (Seattle) I'm not sure why I ordered this CD as I wasn't familiar with the artist. Some songs were OK,some were just downright awful. I don't think I'll be buying anything else from this singer - although Christmas CDs ARE difficult to do well.
Kristin Chenoweth has big talent. January 6, 2009 emjay I am always looking for a new Christmas cd when the holidays roll around and after seeing Kristin Chenoweth sing THE CHRISTMAS WALTZ on a float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade I was very impressed. So I always check Amazon and listened to samples and read other reviews and I was sold. I love the arrangements on all songs on this cd and it is a feel good Christmas collection; bursting with perfect style of Christmas spirit. Kristin Chenoweth has a very showbizzy talent and her voice is unique and just puts you in a warm and happy mood. I hope she makes another holiday cd next year. I give A LOVELY WAY TO SPEND CHRISTMAS an "excellent". *****It sure is a lovely way to spend Christmas.
Disappointing January 6, 2009 Mark Twain (Melbourne, VIC, Australia) I LOVE Kristin Chenoweth but I was disappointed with this CD. It was countryesk and didn't show off her amazing vocal ability.
Every Day Is Lovely With Kristin December 31, 2008 tvtv3 (Sorento, IL United States) Not only is she a beautiful and talented actress, but Krisitn Chenoweth is an amazing singer. I knew that Chenoweth had performed on Broadway and originated the role of Glenda in WICKED, but was unaware that she had already released several solo albums. Therefore, when I learned that she had released a Christmas album, I picked it up just in time for the Christmas season. The album is mostly a mix of classic Christmas songs with a few newer tunes as well as some very interesting variations. My favorites on the album include: "I'll Be Home for Christmas"--a beautiful rendition of the Christmas standard. "Do You Hear What I Hear?"--an uplifting version of one of my favorite Christmas carols. "Sing"--Yes, it's a song from SESAME STREET, but it fits with the rest of the music on this album and is actually my 2nd favorite song on the album. "Come On Ring Those Bells"--a country Christmas carol that tells the real meaning of Christmas. "Born on Christmas Day"--I had never heard this song before, but really enjoyed the lyrics and the song was even more powerful being sung by Kristin. "Sleep Well Little Children/What a Wonderful World"--This song is my favorite on the album. It's a beautiful song that makes a great epilogue to the album. Overall, this is a beautifully sung Christmas album that I enjoyed listening to very much. It was playing at our house all during the Christmas season. Highly recommended for fans of Kristin Chenoweth and anyone who enjoys excellent Christmas music.
