Product Description Remember the time you tried to convey a generous serving of salad greens to your plate and blazed a trail across the tablecloth with radicchio and Boston bib lettuce? With their convenient scissor action, these attractive salad tongs let you serve salad while holding onto a plate or the serving bowl.
Amazon.com Review For easy, one-handed salad serving, nothing is as efficient and simple as salad tongs. Self-reliant kids still developing two-handed coordination love them. A strong hinge ensures that these won't be falling apart as plastic models often do. And the handle holes are big enough to fit large fingers. Sufficiently sturdy to use in the kitchen, the tongs are medium-weight, clean easily, won't discolor, and can be hung on hook or peg by their handles. --Fred Brack

pretty cool kitchen tool February 7, 2008 E. Dowd (Southwest, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This item is great, wanted these for many years. Now I can serve salad in style! Nice quality.,pretty as well.
Not comfortable to use. February 6, 2007 G. S. Clark (New England) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
These tongs work well, easily cleaned, however, the handles are very uncomfortable because the metal is very thin and flat. They would be perfect if they were easier on your hands.
Poorly designed June 4, 2005 Amazon shopper (Saratoga, CA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
These things are very thin, thinner than a dime. Imagine putting your fingers through the loops and squeezing on the business end of a butter knife. They are extremely uncomfortable. They look nice, the 18/8 steel is nicely polished, but functionally they are useless.
More bang for your buck June 21, 2000 Jennifer Hunt Kazzie (Virginia) The first thing I noticed about these tongs when I got them was the weight. I was impressed by the weight of them. Oneida often makes quality stainless steel products but I was suprisingly amazed by the quality of such a simple product. When I shopped for salad tongs, I ended up buying the cheapest of the selection found on Amazon.com but I was by no means cheated on quality. Although heavy, the tongs were not too heavy. The function of the tongs (opening and closing) was easy. The handle where you place your fingers is relatively comfortable and decent size. The fork and spoon part of the tongs is large enough to serve good portions with each scoop without skimping or loosing anything as you serve.
