Product Description When Sookie's brother Jason's eyes start to change, she knows he's about to turn into a were-panther for the first time. But her concern becomes cold fear when a sniper sets his deadly sights on the local changeling population--and Jason's new panther brethren suspect he may be the shooter. Now, Sookie has until the next full moon to find out who's behind the attacks, unless the killer decides to find her first.

Still Waiting To Read January 1, 2009 Gracie Adler (blue knob) I purchased these books on a whim from loving the HBO "True Blood" series. Couldn't get enough, and with it being the hiatus, I am still reading book #4. These books are a reader's delight when needing a fix of the Sookie Stackhouse novels. Eloqeuntly written, smooth, easy to follow, & makes you can't wait for the next few minutes you'll have to read some more of the books. I would definately recommend them to anyone who likes the romance/occult/thriller genre.
A sniper is after the weres.... December 29, 2008 Michael Valdivielso (Alexandria, VA USA) and Sookie's brother is the one everybody thinks may be doing it. Add problems within the werewolf pack, Bill being back and the sniper thinking Sookie is a were and you have a grand old time in the old town. Get it, read it, enjoy it. Not as good as the others, but all the characters you love to read about are in it, so you should enjoy it.
Fun! December 22, 2008 Susan M. Plocher (New Ulm, MN) I really love this series. I can't keep straight which book is which just by the title, but I own all of them (except the latest one and it's coming) Charlaine Harris has created wonderful, fun characters who I really enjoy getting to know. I've read the other series of Ms. Harris' (or at least parts of each) and don't really know why, but don't care for the others. These I'll keep on reading as soon as they come out. There is a touch of romance in them, but not really what I'd call a typical "romance" novel. Read them for the characters and the story, but not if you want a "serious" romance. Incidentally, if you like books on CD, the person reading these stories really gives great "voice" to the characters. I'd invest in those as well. Just good, all-around fun for those who like a bit of fantasy in their lives.
~*Dead As A Doornail Review*~ December 21, 2008 Ashley Ritchie (Alabama) This is the 5th book in th Sookie Stackhouse Series & it doesn't let you down either! After I started reading it I couldn't put it down. Sookie's brother, Jason, changes into a werepanther & he deals with his new life really well. There is a sniper shooting the local changeling community. Sam gets shot in the leg one night while him & Sookie are walking out of the door at Merlotte's. The hotshot community think Jason might be behind all these shootings. Sookies knows that her brother is innocent & that the next full moon will be fatal for Jason if his name is not cleared. Sookie trys to find out who is behind these shootings to clear her brothers name.
Dead as a Doornail December 16, 2008 Tresa Echlin (Houston, TX) Once I started reading the Sookie Stackhouse series, I just could not put it down. After seeing the HBO made for TV Series, the first book was almost true to the book with the exception, of course, quite a few embellishments and altogether made up stuff. Waiting for the next saga to be released.
