I have a 1" Chi which I love and have used for years. But I wanted a larger flat iron because my hair is much longer now than it used to be. I decided to give this iron a try (I bought the 1 3/4" iron). I didn't like it at first... it takes some getting used to (after using a Chi). But once I got the hang of it I actually prefer it to the Chi. It's plates are wider and longer which means I get my hair done quicker. It also is thinner than the Chi, and I can get closer to the roots. The only disadvantage is that it doesn't curl the ends under as well as the Chi does, so I still use the Chi to finish the ends. But if I could only use one iron, this would be it.

Great flat iron. I bought this after my other flat iron gave out. It has longer plates so that you can reduce the amount of time you spend on your hair. It does not dry out my hair and it leaves it shiny.
